About PeopleActiv
PeopleActiv is owned and managed by Frances and Stephen
Light. We genuinely love and care about people and focus on
helping them see their Light. We live courageously with the
guiding principle of: "How may I serve." We strive
to live this in every interaction we have. Our guiding philosophy
is, “All meaningful and lasting change starts first
on the inside and works its way out” – Anon. We
recognise that the path to greatness and a great life is an
internal journey, one we have taken and one we are continuously
on.
We are passionate about living our purpose which is to serve
others by assisting them to find their reason for being. We
assist people in leading fulfilling lives through finding
balance in their lives, realising their potential and finding
their greatness, their most fulfilling life. In doing so we
are also able to fulfill our potential. We believe that all
people are beautiful souls with infinite potential and that
it is our limiting learned behaviours which do not serve us
in living the life we dream of.
People have to be responsible for their lives in order to
choose differently and make changes. We have been conditioned
to blaming others and the world around us for the circumstances
of our lives and to take responsibility for our behaviours
is a foreign concept, especially when others are behaving
poorly. It truly is easier to blame them for our feelings
and reactions. PeopleActiv teaches people to understand
what is going on inside of them when confronted with these
situations and to make different choices versus reactive responses.
When people understand and embrace change at this level, their
journey to greatness has begun. They start finding themselves
being more confident about who they are and what they bring
to the relationship. Their relationship with themselves improves
and so they are able to give a lot more to others.
One of the main challenges we hear people struggle with in
the business world is dealing with other people. Businesses
have objectives to meet and deliverables to achieve. Companies
and Institutions’ want results, we acknowledge this.
We also acknowledge that business is done between people and
the best kind of business is done when people have healthy
relationships. The truth is: I cannot fully give to relationships
if I do not feel good about myself. Businesses succeed because
of people so relationships (internal and external) become
crucial. If people cannot get along with each other or cannot
communicate effectively with each other, the end result is
that the business suffers. PeopleActiv uses this as
a basis for behavioural change. If you want results, care
about yourself and your people. Teach your people to care
about themselves and they will start caring about others.
The business results will come. It is therefore hugely important
that people are able to communicate and deal with themselves
and each other in an effective manner.
PeopleActiv workshops focus on an Inside/out approach.
We help people understand who they are when they interact
with people and how they could improve their approach in order
to create fulfilling and meaningful interactions for both
parties. We recognise that in order for people to show up
in relationships with the intent of growth, caring and support
(win-win), they need to understand themselves better. This
is the internal journey to greatness. PeopleActiv provides
a safe environment for people to dream where they could be,
to acknowledge where they are and we assist them in identifying
and changing those behaviours that prevent them from realising
their greatness. Our workshops impart the necessary skills
for building great relationships through being confident,
being assertive, communicating effectively, managing emotions
and dealing with conflict for growth. We teach people how
to manage themselves and others on a deeper level, the level
at which relationships live. These skills are shared in the
context of an internal shift from blame to Choice and Responsibility.
Our facilitation methodology is interactive and experiential.
We remove all barriers to learning and create trusting environments
for sharing. We know people learn and retain information best
when it has personal meaning to them. This is the key to sustained
behavioural change. Our workshops are true facilitation and
our approach is asking the right questions - people have the
answers to their destiny through Self-Awareness, Choices and
Responsibility.
Our workshops include:
| 1. |
Empowering people through a coaching leadership
mindset

Communicating with Intent, One conversation
at a time

Busting the Myth that Stress is Real |
Coaching for creating sustained behavioural change
PeopleActiv have certified Professional Co-Active
coaches who are registered and accredited with the Coaches
Training Institute based in Los Angeles. This is a global
organisation that creates and supports a network of co-active
coaches operating in the space of change through self awareness.
We connect with people and connect them to their true self.
When in this space the power to create change in their lives
comes from the biggest part of who they are. Co-Active coaching
holds people naturally creative, resourceful and whole and
allows them to explore and tap into their true potential.
Coaching is the space that takes the workshop concepts and
makes them real and practical in people’s lives, it
is the vehicle for creating sustainable behavioural change,
if people are willing to change.
All meaningful and lasting change starts first on the inside
and works its way out

Meet Stephen Light
I am a very passionate, compassionate
and loving person. I love life and although
initially a little shy, I love meeting new
people. I always wonder who they are and
what they have been through. What challenges
have they faced in their lives and why have
they shown up in my life right here and
right now. I treat my experiences as a series
of lessons and approach life with an attitude
of gratitude and humility. I genuinely care
for people and my natural curiosity has
led me to where I am now. I know I am here
to serve people and my Life purpose is:
I am the vulnerable child who creates the
space for truth. I serve the purpose of
connecting, sharing and growing people.
So I am right where I need to be.
I have been coaching for 5 years and it
was a natural progression for me from the
workshops I manage. Coaching came as a result
of seeing how much people wanted change
in their lives and yet found themselves
consumed and controlled by the circumstances
of their lives. I quickly realised I had
the skill and desire to hold a space for
my clients that allowed them to fully express
who they are, to make this real for them
and then hold them accountable for approaching
life from this space. When in this space,
everything is possible.
I coach personal and corporate clients.
I coach through a variety of mediums, namely
face to face, skype and telephonically.
I believe in people and I believe in their
potential. I know we develop blocks (conditioning)
to seeing our potential and I love assisting
people to realise this and to let their
diamond inside shine.
What I love about myself
My big heart
My serving attitude
My humility
My courage
My commitment to growing myself
My family love
My kindness
Personal profile
I am a family man and have a beautiful wife,
Frances who means the world to me. She teaches
me lessons every day. We have twin girls,
Madison and Caitlin (now 8 years old) who
are my life. They are so different and I
could never have said that my heart could
hold so much love for them. I fall in love
with them every day and they keep me on
my toes.
We have 2 African Grey Parrots (Scribble
and Zack), 1 Bronze Manikin (Cassie), 1
finch (Nathan), 1 sausage dog (Star), 1
Jack Russell (Jamie), 1 cat (Itchy my other
love), 2 hamsters (whose names have changed
so many times I am not sure who they are
currently) and many fish (no names). So
we have a full house.
I am very sporty and run 5 times a week.
I have completed 12 comrades marathons (90km
race), 9 Two Oceans marathons (56km race),
and over 50 other marathons in my running
career. I also manage a group of about 600
runners and walkers all on an informal basis
called Regent
Harriers. We meet nearly every day in
the week to run and it is a wonderful running
community. I am also a Rugby referee for
my province.
One of my biggest successes is that my
daughters are growing up so aware of who
they are, the choices they have and the
life they can create for themselves (something
I never had). I am so proud of them. |

Meet Frances Light
My Life Purpose is: I am the love
and light that reconnects people to their
magnificence.
I am a loving and caring person. I love
connecting with people and I am passionate
about helping people grow. Living my purpose
means I assist people in gaining self insight
and growth by providing support and guidance
through coaching. I genuinely care about
people and this is evident in how I live
my life. I love my family and it is this
love that I share with them that enables
me to freely and unconditionally give it
away to others. I live the principles of
a spiritual life and I know my facilitation
and coaching is testimony to a personal
journey of hope, love and peace.
Coaching and facilitating has been an integral
part of my job role from 1990 to 1999 and
when I started my own business in 1999,
facilitation became my passion. Then, over
the past two years I connected with coaching
in a way that I never thought possible.
As a result coaching and facilitation have
become a vital part of my life’s work.
I feel fully expressed and alive when I
am facilitating and coaching. I am very
blessed to have both corporate and individual
clients. I feel that my roles as a women,
wife, mother, and business women provide
me with a wealth of experiences to draw
off and allow me to truly be there in the
moment with my clients.
Initially my journey was a traditional
one, following the corporate road. After
having a successful career in the corporate
world where I had built up a wealth of knowledge
and experience, I decided in 1999 to start
my own business so that I could focus solely
on my passions.
My business grew and in 2001, together
with my husband Stephen, we formed a Company
called PeopleActiv to pursue
our Life’s Purpose even further. My
philosophy is that all meaningful and sustainable
change has to start on the inside and work
its way out and this is how we run our business
and our lives.
Our workshops focus on the power people
have over their lives through choice, self
awareness, responsibility and accountability.
I assist people in challenging limiting
beliefs and habits that don’t serve
them and impart tools for changing behaviour
and making it sustainable through alignment
to values, purpose and inspiration in life.
This is achieved by holding them naturally
creative, resourceful and whole.
My influences and teachers include: my
husband, Stephen, my twin daughters Madison
and Caitlin, Sonia Choquette, Cheryl Richardson,
Wayne Dyer, Byron Katie, Deepak Chopra,
Louise Hay, John Maxwell, Ken Blanchard,
Jim Collins, Ben and Ros Zander; and the
like.
